This David Milliband clip cannot be reposted often enough. Prescient or what?

Harriet Harman, the Labour deputy leader has had her blog hacked and some changes made. I’m not sure if Harriet will see the funny side though.

This I am sure has been doing the rounds of the blogosphere, but it is just so hilarious I thought I’d pitch in. Teenage Pregnancy Implementation Manager, come again? When you read the job description it is entirely contrary to the impression given by the title. This caused not inconsiderable mirth in my office this afternoon.

Apparently there is a new Paddington bear book being published next year. In it he is arrested and quizzed over his immigration status! Well all I will say is please don’t deport Paddington, I know he recently committed sandwich treason by having Marmite but it would be an overreaction. Please look after this bear!!

A friend sent me this, and I loved it so much that I thought I’d share. Well it got me into the Christmas spirit anyway!

I thought now would be a good time to flag up this.
The guy was so prescient, less and less people can stand Gordon Brown.

I have always had a sneaking admiration for Jack Straw, he is a politician of huge talent and is clearly head and shoulders above his Cabinet colleagues. So it was obvious that he would be sent out to speak for the government after their most difficult week. However I noticed something, a huge plaster on his left thumb. My question is, was he given the thumbscrew treatment before he was sent out?

Before I start my main thrust today, apparently I missed a blog action day on the environment. I should be ashamed apparently, but I’m not. There are probably thousands of blogs that are unread, so posting on them is a waste of time. Posting on them to generate action therefore is a waste of time. I am also a bit sceptical about the proselytising of the enviro-lobby, I accept that climate change may be happening but would prefer that the science behind it was put out in a boring sciency way. At the moment the science is disseminated in a wrapping of emotionalism about, baby seals and ickle door mice and who knows what else. I am a sceptic around this area of modern life, there are natural events that could do more damage to the earth in a matter of hours than man could contrive to do in a few hundred years. Perspective people!
Anyway I now fully expect a visit from the enviro-inquisition with their sustainable thumbscrews and completely renewable rack.
